NURS 1110 - Fundamental Concepts/Integrated Nursing Skills

This course is designed to assist the novice nursing student to learn and apply selected skills utilized in nursing practice. Simulation lab experiences as well as provision of client care in an acute care and community setting will be performed by the student applying the concepts of: 1) health promotion/disease prevention; 2) communication; 3) analytic, contextual, and holistic thinking; 4) human caring and relationship; 5) teaching; 6) resource management; 7) leadership; 8) information literacy.
