NURS 2160 - Care of the Adult/Gerontologic Client

This course focuses on in providing evidenced-based nursing care for the adult/gerontologic clients in both community-based and acute care settings. Students will be required to provide effective and competent nursing care for this population applying the concepts of: 1) health promotion/disease prevention; 2) communication; 3) analytic, contextual and holistic thinking; 4) human caring and relationship; 5) teaching; 6) resource management; 7) leadership; and 8) information literacy. Co-requisite: BIOL 2280 or BIOL 2500. Pre-requisite: NURS 1110 with a grade of C or better
