NURS 4520 - Professional Nursing Leadership


This course introduces the student to concepts related to leadership and managing in a complex, rapidly changing healthcare environment. It emphasizes the practical application of nursing management and leadership concepts and skills in relation to contemporary nursing issues. Discussion of research findings and relevant Theoretical formulations relative to real world problems are a significant part of the course. Self-assessment tools are used to evaluate the leadership abilities of students as they complete the RN to BSN program. Pre-requisites: NURS 3110, NURS 3200, NURS 3210, NURS 3330, NURS 3410 and NURS 4410 Co-requisite: NURS 4600
