SPAN 4110 - Latin American Literature I


Introductory survey of Latin American literature from pre-Columbian times to the advent of Modernism around 1885, encompassing Aztec and Mayan literature, the Chronicles, the Baroque, the Enlightenment, Romanticism, Realism, and Naturalism. Class conducted in Spanish. Pre-requisite: SPAN 2002, 2006A, or placement by the Department of Spanish.
