ENST 3060 - History and the Environment

This course explores the evolving historical relationship between humans and the global environment from pre-historical times to the present. The focus of the course is on political, economic, and cultural themes at different historical epochs, and includes the examination of such issues as the rise and fall of civilizations, colonialism, industrialization, and the changing perception and understanding of the environment around the world at different times. Pre-requisites: ENST 2030 and GISC 2011/L or permission of instructor.

ENST 2030 with D or greater and GISC 2011 with D or greater and GISC 2011L with D or greater
