ECDV 3800 - Current Issues in Social Services

This course introduces the student to social problems and the social services which attempt to ameliorate them. It provides the social and cultural context of education and the problems within which education exists; and an overview of an integrative approach to social inquiry and social action which emphasizes intervention on individual, political and societal levels. Special emphasis is placed on values, social problems and educational fields of practice.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: ECDV 2110 or permission of instructor.
