ENST 3065 - Social Influence and the Environment


Like all of our attitudes and beliefs, our ideas about environmental issues are heavily influenced by other people, and they are always subject to change. This course examines the ways in which other people influence our thoughts, attitudes, and ultimately our behavior in regard to the environment. The following topics are examined: research methods, conformity, compliance, obedience, social facilitation, social loafing, attitude formation, attitude change, persuasion, bargaining, and group decision-making processes.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: ENST 2030, GISC 2011/L or permission of instructor.
