ART 2600 - Introduction to Textiles


Introduction to Textiles is a study of the basic elements of design as applied to cloth. Studio practices will include basic dyeing techniques using both synthetic and natural dyes. Projects will involve hand and machine sewing as skills for embellishment as well as basic construction of 2D and 3D objects.  Weave structure and design will be explored through the use of weave design software. Weaving projects will be developed using a floor loom.
