NURS 4022 - Introduction to Operating Room Nursing

This course will introduce students to the basic concepts of perioperative nursing. The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the opportunity to learn skills and concepts specific to the Operating Room Nursing. This course contains online teaching methods and clinical components. Students will get the opportunity to provide holistic, patient centered care in the operating room setting. Student will acquire skills such as (but not limited to): aseptic technique, surgical hand scrub, surgery specific care of the patient, surgical patient safety.
