EDUC 7853 - Education, Policy, and Politics Organized formal education is controlled by policy and politics that affect access to education and the type of education received. This course will focus on how national and international governmental policy and politics address language, poverty, movement of people, sexual orientation, and gender, religion, and race, culture, and ethnicity as they affect educational access. The levers to impact policy and practice, which are available to stakeholders and organizations, will be explored.
