ECDV 3700 - Introduction to Special Education

This course provides the history of special education in the United States, and current legal requirements and issues for educating children with special needs. Characteristics of individuals with special needs, ethical consideration and cultural diversity, the importance of family involvement and the role of collaboration will be included.
