MUSC 4310 - Senior Recital

A capstone course for students majoring in music or music education. The culmination of this course is the public presentation of a senior recital in the major applied music area of study. In consultation with their applied music instructor, students should select a program of literature for their medium of sufficient variety and at the appropriate technical level to demonstrate a mastery of the medium appropriate to the degree being obtained. Unless otherwise approved, the repertoire for this recital should include at least 45 minutes of music with a representative and varied selection of styles, historical periods, and technical skills. The selected literature will be rehearsed and studied in lessons with the applied music instructor and in regular practice sessions outside of the assigned lesson times, including multiple sessions with any accompanists or other performers involved.
