Human Services Delivery and Administration Interdisciplinary Concentration (B.A.)

Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Delivery and Administration (HSDA) program prepares students for careers in government, business, and non-profit organizations.  Human Services are services, occupations, and professions that concentrate on improving and/or maintaining the physical and mental health and general well-being of individuals, groups, and communities in society.

Human Services are generally classified into four service categories:

  • Information or advising services such as libraries, museums, and hotlines;
  • Maintenance services such as civil service and public welfare programs;
  • Personal services such as counseling; and
  • Protection services such as public health, criminal justice, and social services.

Admissions requirements:

  • Upon admission to Gainesville State College, students may declare the Human Services Delivery and Administration Major at any time. 
  • Students must achieve a grade of C or higher in all pre-co-requisite courses, and achieve a C or higher in all HSDA courses.
  • Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of major courses in residency at GSC and meet all other graduation requirements of the College.

9 hours must be selected from Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Business, Education, Health and Wellness, Math, and Science courses approved for Area F in any A.A. or A.S. program of study.
