Psychology (B.S.)

No grade below “C” will be acceptable in any psychology course for psychology majors.

Core Curriculum Requirements 60 hours


Refer to Semester Core Curriculum Areas A-E  

Area A1: No exceptions

Area A2: MATH 1111 or higher is strongly recommended

Area B: No exceptions

Area C: No exceptions

Area D: BIOL 1107/1108 and an additional MATH or MATH 2400 (if not taken in Area F) are strongly recommended

Area E: No exceptions

Area F. Courses Appropriate to Major 18 hours


Major Requirements 60 hours


At least one of the following labs


 (Notes: labs should be taken after completing PSYC 3070 and PSYC 3080; the class associated with the lab is a prerequisite or co-requisite for the lab)

Minor 15-18 hours


  • An academic minor is required of all Psychology majors. Students may consult with their faculty advisor about the choice of a minor, but should contact the minor department for consultation with a minor advisor.
