ENGL 2132H - Honors American Literature II

Honors American Literature II is an enriched version of ENGL 2132.  This survey of American Literature from the Civil War to the present involves reading, analyzing, and interpreting significant literary works within their historical, social, and cultural contexts.  Honors literature courses are smaller and taught in a seminar-style that allows students to engage in vibrant discussions of intellectual and cultural import, to share their analytical points of view, and hone their critical thinking skills.  Faculty work closely with students to develop their literary interpretation and writing skills.  Students participate in a range of engaged learning activities and research to delve more deeply into American literature and culture in the context of a global world.
