PHIL 2040 - Introduction to Ethical Theory An introduction to the major topics of ethics and morality from both eastern and western traditions, involving a critical examination of the centuries’ old questions of ethical and moral behavior. Included are examinations of the appropriate writings of philosophers such as Aristotle, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Hobbes, Kant, Jeremy Bentham, J.S. Mill, Confucius, Lao Tzu, and others.
