THEA 4900 - Senior Thesis Project

This required exit course is designed to bring together all the learning experience of a theatre student.  Students will present and defend before a faculty jury a thesis paper.  The topic of the paper may be based on scholarly research, or may focus on experience from:  a project developed in THEA 4910/491 - Discovery Production Project or THEA 3950/415- Advanced Production Projects, a GTA main stage production, Rep Company, THEA 4950/495 - Professional Theatre Internship, or other approved topics or areas of interest.  Creation of an original play script will satisfy the requirements of this paper.  The topic will be developed in the student’s junior year in THEA 3900.  Students will be required to present full documentation of the process, including, but not limited to, a full bibliography of all works used in research-cited or not, drafts, personal journal, production documents, technical drawings, production photographs, transcripts of interviews, and/or other pertinent documents.
