BUSA 2201 - Computer Information Systems


An introductory course including a study of basic computer concepts, management information systems, data and file processing, systems analysis, the hardware and software available for meeting information systems needs, computer privacy and security, and the various types of information systems. Students will gain extensive hands-on microcomputer experience applying spreadsheet, database management, and word processing software to solve information problems. Students may not receive credit for BUSA 2201 and CSCI 1250. This course replaces GSC’s CISM 2201.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: MATH 1001, MATH 1101, MATH 1111, MATH 1113, or MATH 1450, with a grade of C or higher
