GEOG 1112 - Introduction to Weather and Climate


This course is a study of atmospheric composition and structure, clouds, precipitation, and atmospheric motion and winds, organized weather systems, including air masses, fronts, and severe weather. Discussion of global climates includes circulation, wind systems, climate classification, and climate change. Co-requisite: GEOG 1112L.

All lecture and lab courses have separate numbers and grades; therefore, if the lab is required with the lecture, they must be taken concurrently. The only exception is if one component (lecture or lab) is passed and the other failed, only the failed portion need be repeated. Lecture and lab must be taken on the same campus when taken concurrently.
