ENGL 3660 - American Romanticism

This course is a study of American prose and poetry between 1820 and 1860 with emphasis on Emerson, Hawthorne, Thoreau, Melville, and Whitman. Prerequisites: ENGL 2050, ENGL 2230 and one ENGL 2100-level literature, each with a grade of B or higher.
