READ 3005 - Teaching of Reading

An intensive study of reading skills in the areas of readiness, vocabulary development, phonics, word recognition and comprehension. Students will become familiar with current approaches used to teach reading and the organizational skills needed to implement these approaches for students in P-8 settings. Pre-requisite: Admission to Teacher Education Program
