MUAP 2570 - Applied Music Secondary: Jazz and Commercial

Prerequisite: Audition. Performance-based instruction focusing on the attainment of proficiency in jazz and/ or commercial music idioms. Emphasis is given to the development of basic musicianship through technical exercises and selected jazz and commercial repertoire. Instruction may be given in either group or individual setting or a combination of the two, depending upon the starting level and academic needs of the student. A student may accumulate a maximum of 8 credit hours in this course.
