SPAN 2250 - Readings in Spanish Literature An introductory literature course that traces the development of Spanish literature from the Middle Ages to the present. Representative works of various genres are examined in their cultural and historical contexts studied through the use of literary and cultural readings, film, music, video, and the Internet. Readings include selections from Hispano-Arabic and Hispano-Hebew poetry, El Cid, El Libro de Buen Amor, Don Quijote, La vida es sueno, as well as selections by Galdos, Clarin, Unamuno, Garcia Lorca, Goytisolo, Carmen Martin Gaite, and others. Course conducted in Spanish.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: SPAN 2002, SPAN 2006, or their equivalent or permission of instructor.
