READ 3190 - Pre-Adolescent and Adolescent Literature This course examines various types of literature written specifically for the middle school child or young adolescent. Discussed in the course are the characteristics of pre-adolescent literature in general, characteristics of various genre, evaluative criteria for judging quality literature, and teaching methods and strategies appropriate for the pre-adolescent.
