READ 3007 - Assessing Literacy in Early Childhood Education An intensive study of theory and practice for preventing, assessing, and intervening with reading problems in classrooms with diverse student populations, including second language learners. There is focus on utilization of formal and informal data collection and analysis of the literacy development of groups and individuals for the purposes of developing responsive instruction. Clinical experiences in the field required.
