AUTM 6003 - Methods for Teaching Functional and Communication Skills to Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders This course is designed to examine the unique characteristics of and instructional methods used to teach students functioning on the lower end of the autism spectrum. Empirically-validated methods for teaching communication, socialization, adaptive, and functional academics will be discussed, as well as gaining understanding of how their disability may affect behavior and learning across environments.
