ASTR 4030 - General Relativity & Cosmology

An introduction to a general relativistic description of gravity and the Universe’s evolution from the Big Bang to the present day. The course will introduce special and general relativity, dark matter, model universes, measurement of cosmological parameters, and the cosmic microwave background. Theoretical frameworks will be tested against observational data, providing a foundation for understanding current results and ideas in cosmology.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: ASTR 3150 with a grade of C or higher
