MUAP 3610 - Major Applied Voice

Performance-based instruction focusing on public performance of standard solo vocal repertoire. Admission to upper-division vocal instruction is contingent upon 1) the accumulation of a minimum of two semesters credit in MUAP 2610 and 2) satisfactory completion of a divisional barrier jury before a panel of music faculty. A combination of individual (50-minute lesson) and group (studio/master class) instruction provides preparation for public performance. Repertoire and other requirements increase with credit hours. Each student who is enrolled for major applied vocal instruction must concurrently participate fully in a major UNG vocal performance ensemble, regardless of whether the student chooses to enroll for ensemble credit. A student may accumulate a maximum of 4 credit hours in this course.

Prerequisites: Audition and minimum two semesters of MUAP 2610 with grades of C or higher
