SPIS 8013K - Scientific Research Methods

The objective of this course is provide students the fundamental concepts of scientific, engineering and information research and familiarize with the Institute’s research programs. This course instructs in research skill development including finding appropriate research topics, associated problem solving, the literature review process, critical review of published articles and writing research and theses proposals. Additional topics include philosophy of science and engineering, scientific integrity and ethics, professionalism and project development applications toward research.
