ATP 7102 - Sports Performance


This course provides a fundamental understanding of the elements that may contribute to sports performance, and skills that is necessary to enhance performance or correct the mechanics of human motion or characteristics that may lead to injury or illness, which includes biomechanics, muscle physiology, endocrine systems, training types, nutrition, psychological factors and periodization. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to design individualized exercise training programs based on client/patient’s physiological demands. To enroll in this course, students must have successfully completed the first year of the MSAT program. Students will be required to earn grade of “C” or better for this course.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: Completion of the first year’s course work in Master’s of Science in Athletic Training
