CHEM 1211 - Principles of Chemistry I First course in a two-semester sequence covering the fundamental principles and applications of chemistry for science majors. Topics to be covered include composition of matter, stoichiometry, periodic relations, nomenclature and gas laws.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: Old SAT Math score of 550 or higher, new SAT Math score of 570 or higher, ACT Math score of 23 or higher, or MATH 1111 with a grade of C or higher
Corequisite: CHEM 1211L
Hours: 3
Notes: Course equivalent to CHEM 1211K.
Corequisite lecture and lab courses must be taken concurrently on the same campus. The only exception is when at least one component (lecture or lab) has already been passed, the other may be repeated independently.
