FINC 4410 - Derivative Securities and Risk Management A study of the derivative securities, which are contracts whose values derive from the prices of underlying assets, such as equities, debt, currencies and commodities. The main focus is on the application and valuation of derivative securities, such as option, forwards, futures and swaps. Emphasis is placed on the use of derivative securities by corporations and financial institutions to manage risk.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisites: Admission to Upper Division and FINC 3440 with a grade of C or higher
