HIST 2850 - Modern Military History This course examines the historical development and conduct of war in world history from 1789 to the present. It focuses on the political, strategic, and operational levels of war and examines the ways that society, culture, politics, economics, and technology have affected war over time. This course seeks to understand what elements of war have persisted over time, what elements have changed, why that is so, and how that has affected war in the modern world.
