MUED 4210 - Choral Music Curriculum and Methods


This course will address instructional strategies for vocal technique, music literacy, and harmony skills in a comprehensive school choral program. Students will analyze developmentally appropriate repertoire aligned to national and state standards for choral music, grades 7-12. Topics will include multicultural concert programming and the effective use of technology in a choral ensemble. Students will hone curriculum planning, instructional sequencing, and assessment skills in an experiential peer teaching lab. Field experiences will be integrated with academic instruction.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisites: MUSC 2002, MUSC 2014, MUSC 2322, MUSC 3210, and either MUSC 1330 or MUAP 1610, all with grades of C or higher or by permission of instructor
