SOCI 2100 - Constructions of Difference In this course, we critically examine the social construction of difference, focusing on race, class, gender and sexuality. These constructions are pivotal and interesting concepts in the analysis of social and economic inequality, laying a foundation for further investigation and insight in advanced sociology courses. The course spotlights the involvement of social institutions in the construction process and how the consequences create systems of inequality that privilege few while oppressing many.
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Prerequisite: SOCI 1101 and ENGL 0989 (when required)
