KINS 1923 - Caving/Spelunking The primary purpose of this course is to acquaint students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform safe caving/spelunking activities. Caving is for those more adventurous spirits and those simply wanting a taste of adventure in the outdoors. The course provides opportunities for individuals to push themselves physically and emotionally. Hard skills including route finding/tagging, cave rescue and safety, and soft skills including debriefing and challenge of choice are foci in the course. The course is an excellent introduction into the exciting fields of outdoor and experiential education.
