ENVE 4402K - Aerial Geomatics Methods


This course reviews regulations on unmanned aircraft system (UAS) use and addresses use of aerial systems (UASs) in geospatial data collection. Students will utilize UAS platforms in combination with an array of sensors to produce high resolution, spatially accurate, models of terrain and objects that can be presented in a variety of 2D and 3D formats. In addition, students will learn how to plan and conduct a UAS mission and gain experience processing and presenting their work.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisites: ENVE 1105K or a current FAA 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, ENVE 2221K, and GISC 3021K
