POLS 4241 - Middle East Security


This course investigates sources and causes of security issues in the Middle East, the factors that influence them, and what policy responses can be proposed to address them. It also addresses the theoretical perspectives concerning security issues of the Middle East. The course focuses on themes such as the role of religion in Middle East politics, the Arab-Israel conflict, regional politics in the Middle East, and the great power competition in the Middle East. 

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisites: POLS 1101 or POLS 1101H; POLS 2401 or POLS 2401H (POLS 2401 can be taken concurrently)
