ART 2700 - Introduction to Ceramics

This course is an introduction to clay as a creative material. Students will develop skill with the basic techniques in wheel throwing and hand building and will view historical and contemporary ceramic art to supplement their learning. Students will engage in the ceramic process from start to finish which involves hand-making objects in clay, glazing, and firing their artwork.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: ART 1030 with a grade of C or higher or permission of Head of the Department of Visual Arts
