ART 4700 - Ceramic Tile and Mosaic

This course explores the artistic, industrial, and architectural applications of ceramic tile and mosaics. Various production methods will be introduced including hand-cutting, mold making, and digitally based processes. Students will learn about substrate, adhesive, grout, and waterproofing materials and tools in order to create tile/mosaic installations.

Prerequisite: ART 3200, ART 3452, ART 3700, or ART 3710 with a grade of C or higher
