MUSC 1001 - Music Theory I

A study of basic structures and processes in music with a focus on tonal harmony. Students will learn concepts through written and aural analysis, part writing, and composition. Class assignments make regular use of technology.

Prerequisite/Corequisite:
Prerequisite: Score of 70 or higher on Music Theory and Aural Skills Entrance Exam, or successful completion of MUSC 1000 with a grade of C or higher, or permission of instructor.
