HSDA 2200 - Career Readiness in Helping Professions

HSDA 2200 serves as an essential foundation for students entering the field of Human Services, guiding them through the early stages of professional identity formation, skill development, and career planning. The course introduces the values, principles, and practices that define human services as a profession while preparing students for success in advanced practicum courses (HSDA 3201, 4200, and 4201). Through an applied, reflective approach, students begin to understand the helping relationship, the role of case management, and the ethical standards that guide practice across diverse human service settings.
