LART 3090 - Language Arts and Children’s Literature

Examination of various types of literature written specifically for the elementary and middle school child. Discussed are the characteristics of children’s literature in general, characteristics of various genre, evaluative criteria for judging quality literature, and teaching methods and strategies appropriate for the elementary and middle school child
