SPAN 1006 - Accelerated Beginning Spanish

Accelerated 6-credit course for students with one to two years of a foreign language in high school. Can be taken in lieu of SPAN 1001 and 1002 or their equivalent. This communication-based program provides an intensive introduction to the first year of Spanish. It stresses proficiency through fundamental grammar, conversation, composition, and diction and familiarizes students with aspects of the target culture.

Prerequisite: ENGL 0099, SPAN 1000 or its equivalent, or permission by the instructor
