HIST 6205 - Ancient Greece Study of Ancient Greek history and culture from prehistory to the political domination by the Romans. Attention will be paid to the Bronze Age palace-states, Archaic aristocracies, oligarchies, and tyrannies, the emergence of Athens and Sparta and the Persian Wars.
