Majors in Kinesiology
The Department of Kinesiology offers programs leading to two Associate of Science (AS) degrees and four Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees:
A.S. Degree in Core Curriculum with Pathway Courses related to Kinesiology, emphasis area Exercise Science.
A.S. Degree in Core Curriculum with Pathway Courses related to Kinesiology, emphasis area Teacher Certification (P-12).
B.S. in Kinesiology, emphasis in Exercise Science
B.S. in Kinesiology, emphasis in Health & Fitness
B.S. in Kinesiology, emphasis in Teacher Certification
B.S. in Sports Medicine, pathway to the Masters of Athletic Training degree.
Program Requirements
Acceptance to any B.S. degree program requires grades of C or better in BIOL 2120K and BIOL 2130K.
B.S. in Kinesiology – Teacher Certification program applications are due in August for program entry in the following Spring.
B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Science program applications are due in December for program entry in the following Fall.
B.S. in Kinesiology – Health & Fitness program applications are due in February for program entry in the following Fall.
B.S. in Sports Medicine – applications are due in September for program entry in the following Spring.
Academic Requirements
All Kinesiology majors must maintain course grades at or above a C in Area F for Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, and Athletic Training courses to fulfill the degree requirements.
Club Participation
All Kinesiology majors are encouraged to be members of the majors club on their respective campus and adhere to its policies, regulations, and procedures.
