The Mike Cottrell College of Business Department of Management and Marketing offers BBA degrees in Management and Marketing and BAS degree in Technology Management. Upper-level courses supporting the Management degree are available on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. Upper level courses supporting the Marketing degree are available on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. Upper-level courses supporting the Technology Management degree are offered at Gainesville. This department also houses a number of associate-level courses that apply towards the AA degree in Business Administration.

The Management major prepares students to plan, organize, lead, and control businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Students are trained in human resource management, organizational behavior, labor relations, operations, small business, and other topical areas of business. The leadership aspects of this major are fundamental to motivating and understanding the human resource aspects of organizations.  The Management Department offers the BBA degree with concentrations in Business Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management and General Management.

The Marketing major provides a solid foundation in key areas of marketing along with a strong background in the practices and theories that are the foundation of contemporary marketing in the global competitive marketplace.

Marketing majors are trained in advertising, consumer behavior, digital marketing, marketing research, personal selling and electives that provide the students opportunity to develop specialized marketing knowledge. The Marketing Department offers the BBA in Marketing with concentrations in Digital Marketing, Sales, and General Marketing.

In order to complete a BBA in Management or Marketing, students must meet the Admission to Upper Division requirements for the Mike Cottrell College of Business prior to enrolling in most 3000/4000 level courses. Students must complete the Student Professional Development Program (PROS) 90 days prior to graduation with a BBA degree.
