Interdisciplinary Healthcare

The Department of Interdisciplinary Healthcare offers undergraduate courses leading to an Associate of Science in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration.

The Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration Program offers a broad-based, healthcare information technology curriculum reflecting the academic emphasis of the discipline and focusing on the diversity of the healthcare industry. Courses in foundational healthcare and policy, information security, database analytics, management, and implementation of operating systems help make our graduates stand out in the workplace.

Students in the Associate of Science program are provided a strong foundational knowledge of the healthcare information systems field. Those pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree are also provided a foundational exposure to all important aspects of the discipline before selecting a major concentration and HSIA electives that allow them to specialize in a specific area of the healthcare services and informatics administration discipline.

All students seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration must participate in a mandatory Capstone/Applied Learning Experience in their last semester.
