The Social Foundations and Leadership Education (SFLE) Department can assist students interested in an associate degree or the educational pathways at the associate level for elementary, middle, or secondary program, as the faculty teach the early education courses including EDUC 2110: Critical Issues in Education, EDUC 2120: Exploring Sociocultural Perspectives on Education, and EDUC 2130: Exploring Learning and Teaching. The SFLE Department also offers graduate degrees and graduate-level certifications, including a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, an Educational Specialist in Tier II K12 Leadership Education, a Tier I and Tier II Educational Leadership add-on certification, an Educational Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership and Practice, a post-master’s certification in Transfer Leadership and Practice, and a Diversity Certificate.
