Computer Science & Cybersecurity

The Department of Computer Science and Cybersecurity in the College of Science and Mathematics offers courses of study leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science, the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cybersecurity, and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with an advising pathway in Computer Science. The department also offers five minors: mobile app development, cybersecurity, information assurance and security, machine learning, and computer science, as well as selected major concentrations.

The degrees, minors, and courses in the department prepare graduates for high-tech careers in the thriving fields of computer science, cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, and information security in businesses and organizations of all sizes. Courses in programming, web and mobile app development, information security, software engineering, computer architecture, operating systems, networking, databases, and intelligent systems, along with a sound theoretical foundation ensure graduates stand out in the workplace. In addition, the minors add value to any degree program and broaden career opportunities for graduates in any field of study.
